The Journal of Computers, Mechanical and Management (officially abbreviated J. Comput. Mech. Manag.; e-ISSN 3009-075X) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by AAN Publishing, Malaysia. The journal serves as a forum for the dissemination of original research and high-quality review articles across the broad domains of engineering and technology, computing, and management sciences, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary and applied research.
The Journal of Computers, Mechanical and Management publishes interdisciplinary research at the convergence of three domains: computing and data-driven technologies; engineering, with particular emphasis on mechanical, industrial, electrical and electronics, civil, and biomedical engineering; and management, business, and economic systems. The journal aims to support the dissemination of research that demonstrates novelty, methodological rigour, and practical or theoretical significance, and that makes meaningful contributions across or between these three domains.
Subject coverage includes, but is not limited to, computer science and artificial intelligence, modelling and simulation, applied mathematics and operations research, engineering management and industrial engineering, technology-driven business and economic systems, and the basic sciences and mathematics that support engineering and technological research. The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, and short communications. A detailed scope, with subject areas and worked examples of in-scope and out-of-scope topics, is provided on the Aims and Scope page.
The Journal of Computers, Mechanical and Management was established in 2022, with its first issue published in October 2022. The journal received its e-ISSN (3009-075X) from the ISSN National Centre for Malaysia in September 2025. The journal was accepted for indexing in Scopus in December 2025, with retrospective coverage of the journal's full publication history from 2022. The editorial team operates independently of the publisher in all decisions on the acceptance, revision, or rejection of submissions. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scholarly merit, methodological soundness, and scope-fit of each manuscript, as assessed through external peer review. The journal applies a documented Editorial Submissions Policy when manuscripts are submitted by members of the editorial team or the active reviewer pool, ensuring that such submissions are handled by an independent editor with no involvement of the author-editor in the editorial process. The journal commits to keeping the proportion of articles authored by editorial team members and active reviewers below 15% in any rolling 12-month period. The full statement is published on the Editorial Independence page.
All submissions are subject to an initial editorial screening to assess scope-fit, originality, and basic methodological adequacy. Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated through a single-blind peer-review process by a minimum of two independent external reviewers. Additional reviewers may be invited at the discretion of the handling editor. Manuscripts authored by members of the editorial team are reviewed under the journal's Editorial Submissions Policy with double-blind review by reviewers external to the editorial team. The full peer-review process, including stages, criteria, and timelines, is described on the Peer Review Policy page.
All articles are published as open access immediately upon publication, with no subscription, registration, or payment required to access full text.
